The Beating Hearts behind the Moving Pictures
Behind our cameras are filmmakers with vision, dexterity and passion combined with decades of experience in natural history photography and storytelling.
Dinesh Singhi
On the horizon of quiet devotion to Nature, Dinesh is a constant star. For his work is the kind that shines from amid swathes of featureless darkness, and yet shouts not. It is seen by the gaze that is turned to it not with a limelight, but with the seeing eye in the thick of a stygian night.
Growing up in the low-key boudoirs of northern Karnataka, Dinesh was not merely exposed to the wonders of the wild, but soaked in them.
A hugely successful industrialist, Dinesh heads a large company employing more than 3000 people, and juggles a fierce entrepreneurial spirit with a raging capacity for the beautiful.
He says visual art is “the surface bubbling of the heart’s exuberant fizz”, and is passionate about shaping moments in Nature to stories that instill a love for it. And so he makes for the marrow of the matter, seeking to find those stories that are unmarked by the hand of time forever to stay sublime.
Giri Cavale
Giri Cavale is a wildlife photographer, mentor, naturalist, entrepreneur and filmmaker.
Known for his mercurial senses that aid him in discerning and documenting exceptional experiences in the wild, Giri is a storyteller who believes in the poetry of pixels, whether still or moving.
His seasoned expertise and unfaltering instinct as a natural history expert, combined with his conscientious passion for teaching wildlife photography, have made Giri one of India’s most versatile wildlife documentarians.
Giri’s love for wildlife was instilled in him at a tender age. While his evocative art featuring elusive cats of the wild remains his dearest love, his passion for all wild-beings has an enduring history to it. He was that wide-eyed boy who spent hours watching anything from a butterfly to a bird, a lizard to a mammal.
